Your adventure begins with an early departure from Marrakech, leaving behind the city’s vibrant chaos as you climb into the High Atlas Mountains. The winding road through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass offers endless views — snow-dusted peaks, terraced farms, and Berber villages clinging to the hillsides.
Next, we descend into the Ouarzazate region, passing cinematic landscapes and fortified ksars. By late afternoon, we reach Agdz, a peaceful town at the gateway to the Draa Valley. The evening is yours to relax, breathe in the desert air, and watch the sun set over distant ridges.
After breakfast, we follow the Draa Valley, a ribbon of green palm groves dotted with mud-brick kasbahs. In Zagora, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” we pause for photos before continuing to Tamegroute. Here, you’ll discover its famous green pottery workshops and the ancient Quranic library.
Next, we reach M’Hamid, the last village before the vast Sahara. Here, you’ll share traditional nomad tea with a local family — a warm welcome before your camel trek into the dunes. As the sun sets, the sand glows in shades of gold and rose. At Erg Chigaga, you’ll enjoy a hearty Moroccan dinner, live Berber music, and a night under millions of twinkling stars in the silence of the desert.
Wake to the magical sight of sunrise over the dunes, when the desert turns shades of pink and orange. After breakfast, we set off on a gentle desert trek, making our way to a hidden oasis where palm trees provide welcome shade. Here, we enjoy a picnic lunch in the middle of the Sahara — the kind of peaceful moment that feels like it belongs only to you.
In the afternoon, you can join an optional quad bike adventure across the dunes. Later, we climb the highest dune in Morocco for sandboarding just as the sun sinks low, casting long shadows over the endless sands. Back at camp, dinner is served, and the night unfolds with storytelling, drumming, and stargazing.
After breakfast, we leave the dunes by 4x4, driving across the dry, otherworldly bed of Lake Iriqui. This remote corner of Iriqui National Park is rich with desert wildlife and unique geological formations.
We follow part of the legendary Paris-Dakar rally route to Foum Zguid, then continue to Taznakht, a village famous for its beautiful Berber carpets. By evening, we arrive at the UNESCO-listed ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, where ancient mud-brick walls glow in the golden light. You’ll spend the night here, with time to wander the narrow alleys before dinner.
Morning light on Ait Ben Haddou is pure magic — perfect for photos before the crowds arrive. After breakfast, we cross the High Atlas Mountains again, retracing our path through breathtaking passes and valleys.
