Your Morocco trip begins the moment you land. A friendly member of the Sahara Welcome team will be waiting for you at Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport with a warm smile and a comfortable private vehicle.
We’ll drive you to the city center for a short visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest and most stunning mosques in the world. If your flight arrives early, you’ll have time for a seaside walk or a welcome cup of Moroccan mint tea.
Tonight, rest up—your adventure starts in full tomorrow!
After breakfast, we’ll begin our drive to the magical city of Marrakesh. The journey takes about 2.5 hours, and we’ll make short stops along the way to stretch and take in the scenery.
Once in Marrakesh, we’ll guide you into the vibrant old medina, where the sounds of drums, the aroma of spices, and the energy of Jemaa el-Fnaa square will immediately draw you in.
We’ll give you a walking orientation of the square and surrounding streets so you can feel confident exploring on your own in the evening.
Today, your Sahara Welcome local guide will take you through the heart of Marrakesh. From peaceful gardens to intricate palaces, you’ll get to know this city like a local.
Your guided tour includes:
The peaceful Majorelle Garden and YSL museum grounds
Bahia Palace – a 19th-century marvel
The Koutoubia Mosque (from the outside)
The mystical Saadian Tombs
Wandering the historic souks and artisan quarters
The grand Ben Youssef Madrasa
And, time permitting, the El Badi Palace
We’ll tailor the pace to your comfort and interests. Want more shopping time? Or need a lunch break in a rooftop café? We’ll make it happen!
After breakfast, we leave Marrakesh behind and drive through the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop at breathtaking viewpoints and take in the stunning Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
Later, we visit the famous Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and film location for Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and more. You’ll have time to explore this ancient mud-brick fortress with your guide.
From there, we continue through the scenic Skoura Oasis and Valley of Roses before arriving in Dades Gorges, where dramatic cliffs and winding roads create an unforgettable setting.
Get ready—today is the highlight of your Morocco trip! After breakfast, we head deeper into the south. We’ll pass through Todra Gorges, then continue to the edge of the great Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.
In the afternoon, your camel caravan awaits. Ride across the golden dunes at sunset—an experience that feels timeless—and arrive at your luxury desert camp hosted by Sahara Welcome.
You’ll be welcomed with mint tea, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and then gather around the fire for Berber drumming under the stars.
This is the Morocco you’ve been dreaming of.
We’ll wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, we’ll drive north through the Ziz Valley, passing oases, palm groves, and Berber villages.
We’ll stop in Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops, and make our way through the Middle Atlas Mountains.
Along the way, we’ll stop in Azrou to see the cedar forests and meet the playful wild monkeys. Finally, we’ll arrive in Fez, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital, in the evening.
Today, we’ll dive into the fascinating maze of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO-listed medina that feels untouched by time.
Guided stops include:
Chouara Tannery – the colorful, ancient leather-making pits
Bou Inania Madrasa – an architectural gem
Royal Palace gates – stunning golden doors
Bab Boujloud (Blue Gate) – a photo-perfect entrance to the medina
Mellah (Jewish Quarter) and Jnan Sbil Gardens
Fez is quieter than Marrakesh, and many travelers love its authenticity. You’ll have free time in the afternoon to shop, relax at a café, or simply wander.
Early this morning, we’ll head north to Chefchaouen, a city that looks like a painting. Nestled in the Rif Mountains, its blue-painted streets, homes, and stairs create a peaceful and calming vibe.
We’ll guide you through the town’s hidden corners, show you the best spots for photos, and leave you time to shop for natural soaps, local handicrafts, and delicious snacks.
After a relaxing day, we’ll return to Fez for the night.
After breakfast, we’ll begin our drive back to Casablanca (or directly to the airport, depending on your flight). We’ll make short scenic stops if time allows.
Your Sahara Welcome driver will make sure you reach the airport with plenty of time and lots of memories.
We’ll say goodbye for now—but you’ll always have a Moroccan family waiting for your return.
