🏜️ Day 1: Marrakech → Ouarzazate → Zagora

Approx. 7 hours drive

Your desert tour from Marrakech starts at 7:30 AM with a hotel pickup. As we climb the winding roads of the High Atlas Mountains, each turn offers a new postcard-worthy view. After crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass, we stop for lunch in Ouarzazate — known as the “Hollywood of Africa.”

Then we journey south, following the Draa River into one of Morocco’s longest oases. Palms, kasbahs, and quiet Berber villages line the way. It's like entering another world. By evening, you’ll unwind over dinner in Zagora and get some rest before tomorrow’s desert magic begins.

🐪 Day 2: Zagora → Tamgroute → M’Hamid → Erg Chigaga
🐪 Day 2: Zagora → Tamgroute → M’Hamid → Erg Chigaga

Approx. 4 hours drive

After breakfast, we head toward M’Hamid, the last village before the vast emptiness of the Sahara. Along the way, we stop in Tamgroute, home to an ancient Quranic library and famed for its green pottery workshops.

Lunch is relaxed in M’Hamid, and by afternoon, we’re off-road and into the wild. The dunes begin to rise, the road fades, and silence takes over. You’ll ride a camel into Erg Chigaga, where golden waves of sand stretch as far as the eye can see.

Watch the sun melt into the dunes before gathering around a campfire. Enjoy dinner under the stars, while local nomads play traditional desert music. This is what a Marrakech desert tour is all about — raw, real, and unforgettable.

🌄 Day 3: Erg Chigaga → Lake Iriqui → Foum Zguid → Ouarzazate
🌄 Day 3: Erg Chigaga → Lake Iriqui → Foum Zguid → Ouarzazate

Approx. 6 hours drive

Waking up in the Sahara is something special. After breakfast, we cross a surreal 90km stretch of desert, where landscapes shift from soft dunes to rocky plains. This area once hosted the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally.

We drive across Lake Iriqui’s dry salt flats, then reach the first sign of civilization: Foum Zguid. After lunch, we continue to Taznakht, a village well-known for its handwoven Berber carpets.

We arrive in Ouarzazate by late afternoon, where you can relax and reflect on your day of desert discovery.

🏰 Day 4: Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech
🏰 Day 4: Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech

Approx. 4 hours drive

After breakfast, we visit Morocco’s most famous kasbah: Ait Ben Haddou. You've probably seen it before — it's featured in movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Wander through its ancient alleys, snap photos of the earthen architecture, and feel the history in every step. Then we drive back to Marrakech through the Atlas Mountains, reaching the city by around 5:00 PM.

Your 4-day desert tour from Marrakech wraps up with a drop-off at your hotel, but the memories? They’ll last a lifetime.
