THE ROUTE OF 1000 KASBAHS

Day 1 : Agadir

Arrival to Agadir airport. Welcome by your guide and transfer to your 4* hotel. City tour of Agadir including the Kasbah, dinner and overnight in Agadir.

Day 2 : Agadir – Taroudant – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Early departure to Ouarzazate with stops in Taroudant known as ‘little Marrakech’ for a city tour and lunch. After lunch continuation to Ait Ben Haddou for the guided visit of the UNESCO heritage Kasbah and on to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay in a charming riad or a hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 3 : Ouarzazate – Valley of Roses – Dades gorges – Todra gorges – Merzouga

After breakfast a city tour including the cinema studio and the Kasbah of Taourirt. Afterwards we will cross the Valley of the Roses and see the Kasbahs, palm groves and charming villages. Lunch in the Dades gorges. Continuation to Todra gorges for a brief visit and on to the desert of Merzouga for dinner and overnight stay in a desert camp.

Day 4 : Merzouga – Nkoub – Draa Valley – Zagora

After breakfast departure from Merzouga to Zagora through traditional villages and desertic landscapes. Lunchbreak in Nkoub. In the afternoon continuation on the road of thousand Kasbahs and the marvelous palm groves of the Draa Valley. Arrival to Zagora in the afternoon, free time, dinner and overnight in a charming 4-star hotel.

Day 5 : Zagora – Tamegrout – Mhamid – Erg Chegaga

In the early desert morning, we will mount our camels and begin the trek that will take us over sandy ergs and rocky hamadas, and passing by palm groves and villages. Upon our arrival to Tamegrout we will visit the unique underground kasbah, the koranic Library with its 4,000 manuscripts, and large collection of pottery. We will head in the direction of Tagounite for lunch in the sand dunes of Erg Lihoudi with nomads then begin the journey towards M’Hamid.
This final village marks the beginning of the great desert of southern Morocco and we will cross oueds and sand dunes on our way to the oasis of Oum l’Aleg, the only oasis in this desert that has a great water source. An hour’s journey on camelback will bring us to Chegaga, our final destination of the day, where we will experience the Saharan sunset from the dunes. We will spend the night in a luxurious camp of Berber tents.

Day 6 : Erg Chegaga – Eriki Lake – Foum Zguid – Taliouine

After breakfast departure back to Talouine by the route of the famous Paris- Dakar rally. You will discover the dry lake of Iriki and nomadic settlements in the middle of the desert. Arrival to Foum Zguid, lunchbreak and continuation to Talouine. Arrival in the afternoon, dinner and overnight stay in a cosy guesthouse in Talouine.

Day 7 : Talouine – Agadir

After breakfast departure back to Agadir with stops in Taliouine and Taroudant. Arrival to Agadir in the afternoon, free time, dinner and overnight stay in a modern hotel on the Atlantic coast.

Day 8 : Agadir

After breakfast free time and according to your flight schedule transfer to the airport. Assistance with registration and departure. End of services.
